Origins

Everything has an origin. This is ours. Have you ever wondered how the world around you was formed? Or how humanity’s ancestors came to stand on their own two feet? What about when we learned how to ward off the darkness, and spread out over the globe?

Four scientists talked about these topics and more at our first ever live event, held at the Windsor Exchange on September 27th, 2019.

Highlights included:

  • Mukul Sharma, our first ever presenter, took us on a journey of roughly 4.5 billion years and talked about the formation of the earth and our moon.

  • Jerry DeSilva got us up and walking, figuratively speaking, and talked about the origins of bipedalism and our hominid origins.

  • Kate Miller gathered us round the fire to talk about how our ancestors pushed back the darkness and created a community

  • Nathaniel Kitchel showed us how our brave human ancestors pushed into the unknown and became the first homids to inhabit the Americas
